Seeding the Sea
Where fishermen were once able to catch over 100 pounds of fish in one day off the coast of Belize, now they can barely catch a fraction of that. Seaweed farming offers a more sustainable alternative for both the economy and the environment.
Lowell Godfrey has grown up in Placencia, and now has his own seaweed farm that he hopes will show other fishermen that they can make their livelihood in a sustainable way.

Country Soul Songbook is a creative community and online platform that features performances, interviews, conversations, and cultural offerings rooted in our mission to amplify historically marginalized voices (BIPOC/LGBTQIA) in Country and Americana.
By facilitating and documenting creative explorations and re-interpretations of the Country-Americana canon, we are weaving a supportive community of artists and compiling an easily accessible archive that celebrates the past, present, and future voices of this community and musical lineage.
