Caroline Almy is a Multimedia Storyteller based in Durham, North Carolina.
I’m Caroline! Cross-disciplinary videographer, motion graphic artist and photographer with a background in journalism and a love for science and the arts.
While I love all projects that require a creative eye, most of my work focuses on themes of human connection to the natural world.
My recent projects include a short documentary on the North Carolina State Science Fair for sustainable packaging company S’well, an award-winning short documentary on a Belizean seaweed farmer and intimate music videos during the COVID-19 pandemic for Country Soul Songbook.
In 2020, I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Photo/Video Journalism and Psychology. During my time at Chapel Hill, I worked as a student video manager for UNC Football and was the company photographer for The LAB! Theatre. After my sophomore year, I studied positive and social psychology in Stockholm, Sweden and Copenhagen, Denmark.
Recently I've worked as a production assistant on "Welcome to Flatch" for Fox and Lionsgate and an upcoming Netflix series called “Echoes.”
My latest international assignment took me to my paternal family’s hometown of Hormigueros, Puerto Rico, where I covered vaccination and conservation efforts on the island.
I’m available for freelance and contract positions. I hope we can work together!
